Scary Skull Pizzas (PKU)
Method
- Preheat oven to 220C
- Mix the flour with salt and baking powder. Add the vegetable oil and mix well. Gradually add the water and food colouring until a dough is formed.
- Sprinkle a clean service with flour to help prevent the dough from sticking, then knead the dough for 4-5 minutes.
- Split the dough into two equal parts, then roll out into two round pizza bases around 1cm thick.
- To make the sauce, mix the passata, tomato paste, garlic and dried basil together in a small bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper and set aside.
- Cut each baby button mushroom in half, then make small vertical slices to each stalk to form the “teeth” of the skulls. Take a metal or plastic straw and poke two holes in the top of each mushroom half to form the “eye sockets”.
- Equally distribute the pizza sauce between each base, then top with the grated Violife Original Block and the mushroom skulls.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes and enjoy!
