Low Protein Xmas Cake (PKU)
Method
- Preheat oven to 180’C / Gas mark 5
- Cream together butter and sugar
- Add mixed spice and stir
- Add dried mixed fruits and peel
- Add flour and stir together
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, syrup and egg replacer
- Add this to the cake mixture and mix until combined
- Press into a lined cake tin
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown
- Decorate with icing sugar and low protein edible cake toppers
